Job Summary
The Defence Safety Authority (DSA) is an independent regulator, assurer and investigator for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection. Empowered by Charter from the Secretary of State for Defence, its scope covers the entirety of Defence and encompasses all armed forces personnel, civil servants, and contractors in the UK or abroad. Defence Medical Services Regulator (DMSR) is one of eight independent Regulators within the DSA.
The DMSR has responsibility for the regulation, assurance and enforcement of healthcare delivered by the Defence Medical Services (DMS). Through audit, oversight and continuous surveillance, the DMSR aims to provide the Secretary of State for Defence, through the Director General of the DSA, with the necessary assurance that appropriate standards of patient and DMS staff safety are maintained in the delivery of healthcare across Defence activities.
For this campaign we are looking for a Healthcare Inspector to support the delivery of our audit activity.
This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week. Due to service delivery requirements "job share" could be considered on the basis that full-time hours are covered due to the business needs.
Regular travel within the UK will be required and occasional travel overseas may be required.
