Innovation Project Manager
Anglian Water @one Alliance
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Peterborough
Contract type: Full time
Who are we?
Here within the Anglian Water @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, working together to deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’ll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.
We are driving change, empowering us to set global benchmarks and build a better environment, with the opportunity to offer enhanced growth and development to our workforce. We’re looking to build on our existing teams with an environment built for career progression.
To do that we need aspiring driven talent to help us achieve our ambitious targets, are you ready to join us as we prepare to deliver the most creative and innovative AMP we have ever seen?
To successfully deliver this ground- breaking project, we are looking for an Innovation Project Manager to help Anglian Water and the @One Alliance unlock benefit through the development and delivery of innovation projects that seek to address some of the biggest opportunities and challenges facing our sector.
What will you be doing as our new Innovation Project Manager?
As our new Innovation Project Manager, you’ll project manage industry leading exploration, trial and testing projects in response to business challenges in areas such as carbon neutrality, sustainability, digital transformation, novel design and construction techniques and the development of novel treatment technologies. You’ll also help develop innovation ideas into fundable and deliverable projects, that can secure external funding e.g. ofwat innovation fund.
You’ll provide project management support to the @One Innovation Team (e.g. our Materials Scientist, Innovation Lead, Carbon and Sustainability Manager) as well as mentorship to more junior members of the team in effective project management. This will include ensuring that we have robust delivery plans in place and are delivering high quality projects within the programme, budget and scope.
Key responsibilities:
To join the Innovation team in this exciting period, you’ll have change and risk management experience to compliment your track record of benefit realisation. Able to develop business cases which are financially considered throughout, your strong stakeholder management skills will allow you to bring others along on our journey.
The prospect of implementing change will excite you, and you’ll demonstrate this passion for implementing new ways of working by showing flexibility, enthusiasm and engagement at all stages of project development and delivery. Able to think commercially and solve problems, you’ll be passionate about our environment and how the work we do impacts on our communities.
Given the dynamic nature of innovation projects, you must be comfortable with change and iterative development including handover of projects mid-delivery where necessary.
If you are ready for a role to showcase your project management skills whilst thinking differently to deliver, please apply today!
