As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to creating extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
Bentley Metrology supports the business by measuring all the areas of the car from the smallest engine component to the complete vehicle. These measurements are carried out in the three areas of the department focusing on: single part measurement service to all areas of the business, Masterbuck and cubing process to mature parts and sub-assemblies to nominal body property and complete vehicle measurement and service focusing on factory problem solving. These activities culminate in the dimensional maturation of parts through the project phases and are maintained throughout series production.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Physics & Mathematics.

As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to creating extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
- Learn measurement principles and fundamentals which create a great foundation for a career in Manufacturing and Engineering,
- Work within the technical team using cutting edge measurement technology and directly with the vehicles to support successful vehicle launches,
- Have the opportunity to develop communication skills by working in and presenting to various levels across the business,
- Gain invaluable experience in leading a project supporting improvement in product, process or quality performance.
- Dimensional measurement and analysis of parts, properties or vehicles; measure, assess and create measurement reports, interrogate fitment process to understand the complete overview of the system,
- Analysis of problems- provide root cause analysis via collecting, managing and analysing data to produce reports for business partners,
- Understanding processes and continuous improvement,
- Developing own expertise in dimensional science,
- Developing cross-functional networks and understanding wider automotive business
