Industrial Chemist Intern

This is a significant opportunity for new interns, students, recent graduates who are engaged, numerate, and analytical to gain high exposure of new techniques and protocols, perform independently in a laboratory setting, and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and chemists. The scope of the role means that you will get exposed to specialist areas and grow as your skills and experience develops.

YOU WILL

Technical

• Support the IC Chemist with manufacture of assigned Pilot Batches and conducting of filling trials, providing detailed reports and samples for relevant testing.
• Become competent in conducting safety assessments, Result Analysis, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis for new formula/products from conception to industrial pilots.
• Take part in the Colour match lab batches and pilot bulk and support the factory in matching Production batches.
  
  

Team Work

• Partner with key functions- Process development and Manufacturing to continuously improve manufacturing methods.
• Partner closely with IC Chemist to learn and develop understanding of key day to day tasks.
• Manage and communicate New Product Development projects with support of IC Chemist.
• With production teams develop, agree and issue line running criteria for production of finished goods.
  
  

Data & Analytics

• Collect data for KPI’s, driving and communicating improvement plans.
• Align with Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Health & Safety and ensure work is within guidelines.
• Report on root cause Investigation and problem solving when non-conformance or deviation to standards arise ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
