We have an exciting opportunity for an ID Unit Administrator to work within our facilities team at a prestigious central government building in Westminster.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further their career in FM by gaining experience in a highly professional and corporate environment.

This role is a part-time, 12 month fixed-term contract working 22.5 hours per week, 4.5 hours per day from 10:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday.

The role:

  • Reports to Security Services Manager
  • To support the Regional ID Unit Co-ordinator to operate the day to day pass production for staff, contractors and visitors to our secure sites
  • To monitor and audit the data base, materials and process for pass issue; making recommendations for improvement where applicable
  • To assist with the process of confidential Security Clearance forms/applications/vetting
  • To support correct protocol in accordance with client and company policy
  • Some travel to other sites within the region will be expected
  • Working 22.5 hours per week, 4.5 hours per day from 10:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday; this is a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

The person:

  • Proven administrative experience, with an emphasis on customer service, confidentiality and discretion
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, both over the telephone and face to face
  • Must have good IT skills including Microsoft Office package; knowledge of access control/visitor booking systems would be an advantage
  • Pro-active and flexible approach to work, with ability to manage own workload
  • Well organised with the ability to follow and work within prescribed protocol, procedures and processes is a must; attention to detail is also essential
  • Experience of working within a government department would be advantageous
  • Please note employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a valid passport.
