We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR assistant to join our human resource function.

We are based conveniently between Nottingham and Derby centres, nestled on the entrance to one of the regions finest country parks (Shipley Country Park), boasting 700 acres of beautiful landscape popular for relaxed café dining, walking, fishing, biking and horse-riding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Human Resources function ensuring all HR administration and reporting is completed for the company. Conducted all activities in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Be able to work using their own initiative with occasional support and direction.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Completing all HR administration for new starters including offer letters, contracts, referencing, new starter documents and employee management such as job title changes.
  • Support with the delivery of recruitment, selection and new starter processes.
  • Co-ordinate and support with all aspects of performance management,
  • Sending out internal communications such vacancies, newsletters, surveys, and deadlines for information/data.
  • Completing data cleanses of the HR system and ensuring data stored on the system and in the filling, cabinet is GDPR compliant. Keeping the HR system up to date.
  • Administration including liaising with the finance department regarding invoices, sending letters, updating the HR system.
  • Deal with initial queries from employees and managers with regards to policies, procedures and using the HR system.
  • Support line managers with monitoring and managing attendance, absence and time keeping
  • Assist with payroll administration.
  • Assisting with employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance hearings.
  • Supporting with HR projects.

What We Need From You

  • Experience of working with a HR department ideally in a similar role with experience of HR systems & reporting.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships easily, building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised and target / results driven.
  • Good at planning and problem solving.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of GDPR.
  • CIPD qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.

Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:30 - Monday to Friday

Salary range £25,000 - £27,500 per annum
