We are currently looking for a HR Advisor to join our team.
This role is covering the South region with flexibility to travel to different offices these include: Slough, Hemel Hempstead, Winchester, Canterbury, Crawley, Kingston.
Role Overview
The HR Advisor is responsible for providing professional, effective, and efficient HR advice and support to managers and employees across the Region. The role supports the implementation of HR initiatives, policies, processes and ways of working to promote a positive and inclusive culture. The post holder will ensure that all HR operations are carried out smoothly, aligned to Cardo Group, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview
The HR Advisor is responsible for providing professional, effective, and efficient HR advice and support to managers and employees across the Region. The role supports the implementation of HR initiatives, policies, processes and ways of working to promote a positive and inclusive culture. The post holder will ensure that all HR operations are carried out smoothly, aligned to Cardo Group, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build key relationships with stakeholders across the business, provide HR advice and support in relation to employee relations issues.
- Assisting in the management of short and long-term absence, arranging welfare meetings and occupational health advice, looking at capability and reducing long term sickness absence.
- Ownership of the full Employee Lifecycle, ensuring positive and effective end to end HR processes in collaboration with the Central HR Team.
- Support with the induction and onboarding process of new employees.
- HR reporting and systems, providing insights on key metrics, creating and collating monthly HR reports e.g. average sickness absence, turnover.
- Liaise with the Payroll department in relation to any queries.
- Support the management of employee relations cases, including investigations, hearings, and outcomes.
- Support the wider HR team with projects, initiatives, system developments and reporting.
- Support the HR team with day-to-day tasks, responding to employee queries and ensuring compliance with HR policies
- Build key relationships with stakeholders across the business, provide HR advice and support in relation to employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Assisting in the management of short and long-term absence, arranging welfare meetings and occupational health advice, looking at capability and reducing long term sickness absence
- Ownership of the full Employee Lifecycle, ensuring positive and effective end to end process
- Support with the induction and onboarding process of new employees
- HR reporting and systems, providing insights on key metrics, creating and collating monthly HR reports e.g. average sickness absence, turnover.
- Liaise with the Payroll department in relation to any queries
- CIPD Level 3 or above (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Proficient in HR Systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in HR data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced HR environment.
- Builds positive working relationships at all levels; creates a supportive and respectful environment for colleagues and stakeholders.
- Remains calm and focused under pressure; effectively manages challenging situations
- Handles sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality
