We’re looking for a proactive, detail-focused Housing & Finance Administrator with experience in Extra Care or similar supported housing services. If you’re passionate about social care and want to play a behind-the-scenes role in improving life for adults, this could be the perfect opportunity.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team ensuring financial accuracy and stability across our housing services for customers – helping them maintain their independence in safe, well-managed environments.

The Role

The purpose of this post is to provide administrative support to the Extra Care services and the Head of Extra Care, to enable adequate systems and procedures to be maintained and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing rent accounts via the standard arrears policy, supporting the service administrators.
  • Support the services to input care hours on the Local Authority portals or self-funders spreadsheets.
  • Providing consistent administrative support to the Head of Service, dealing with general correspondence and maintaining accurate and up to date records.
  • Implementing a range of processes that provide efficiency and accurate reporting to enable us to have assurance that our care income is collected and managed correctly.
  • Creating sign up tenancy packs, including tenancy agreements, support and wellbeing contracts, core forms, census forms, and any other relevant paperwork.
  • Regular review how we use the Local Authority portals to improve efficiency.

About You

We are looking for a resourceful team player who is solution focussed and able to share best practice and lessons learned for the benefit of the whole organisation.

  • Always look to expand your learning and undertake all training and development essential for this role.
  • Identifying areas for service improvements and/or value for money.
  • Be innovative in identifying methods to successfully engage with people across a wide range of backgrounds and with diverse needs.

Person Specification

  • 5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent or work towards.
  • A minimum of 12 months within an administrative role, dealing with tenancy management.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer facing environment, dealing with difficult and complex situations, managing excel and producing reports.
  • Experience with housing management processes including rent arrears procedures and care arrears procedures.

Because of the nature of the role, an UK driving licence is essential.
