Hospital Driver | Southampton | Private Hospital | 35 hrs per week

Spire Southampton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to join our team. The Successful applicant will need to have a clean driving licence, be well mannered and have excellent customer service.

As a Driver you will work as a multi-skilled member of the Theatre/Service team providing highlevel, quality support to the hospital, working with the minimum of supervision, covering driver and theatre orderly duties.

Hours/Days - Monday - Friday 12pm-7.30pm

Duties And Responsibilities

• To clean, wash, refuel and organise ongoing maintenance of company vehicle used to transport equipment and evidence this
• To complete a daily vehicle check to ensure the vehicle is road-worthy
• To collect/deliver items needed by the hospital from/to other hospitals or facilities around the local area
• To deliver occasional taxi service to patients and Spire executive staff.as directed by theatre Manager
• To support other hospital departments as necessary including Abergele Consulting Rooms
• Collection and delivery of instruments on a pre-designated route/schedule
• Responsible for safe loading, unloading and checking of trays, instruments and sets
• To work under the supervision of the theatre manager in the ordering of consumable stock from the Spire NDC ( National Distribution Centre) to manage effective stock levels
  
  

Who We're Looking For

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role
• Full Driving Licence
• Customer facing experience
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
