Are you ready to make a real impact in your community? We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Highways Maintenance Operative to join our team in Warwickshire – Budbrooke, working across the Warwickshire and Solihull contract.

What you'll be doing

You’ll carry out a wide range of highway construction and maintenance tasks, including:

• Pothole and patch repairs
• Footway reconstruction
• Bollard repair and installation
• Fencing, drainage, and pavement laying
• Street iron works and excavation
• Traffic management duties (Code of Practice compliant)
• Deliver operational activities safely and to a high standard
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
• Support emergency and winter service provision
• Work flexibly to meet business needs
• Contribute to the profitability of the service through effective resource use
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Balfour Beatty professionally
• All work must be completed to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Experience

• Footway and carriageway repairs
• Highway civils and drainage
• Iron works and concreting
• Traffic management and gritting
• Kerbing, block laying, slabbing
• Plant awareness and manual handling
  
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Class 1 or 2 Licence
• NRSWA
• 12D Traffic Management T1/T2
• First Aid
• Abrasive Wheels
• CSCS Highway Maintenance
