We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Technical Product Management to lead our technical product management function across key initiatives in the telecoms and SaaS domains. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping our product strategy, guiding cross-functional teams, and driving product innovation that meets the evolving needs of UK-based consumer and enterprise telecoms customers.
Working in unison with our commercial team, and commercial product owners, the successful candidate will be responsible for the cradle to grave lifecycle of APFN’s products and services, including all constituent components.
About You
You will bring deep domain expertise, proven leadership, and a strong technical and commercial background to support the development and lifecycle of complex product portfolios. A combination of academic and industry-recognised qualifications in product management, coupled with extensive hands-on experience, is required.
What You Will Be Doing
Working in unison with our commercial team, and commercial product owners, the successful candidate will be responsible for the cradle to grave lifecycle of APFN’s products and services, including all constituent components.

- Initiate APFN’s technical product management team, overseeing the full product lifecycle from strategy to delivery across telecoms and SaaS offerings, and develop and expand the team as required into the future.
- Define and drive product vision, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and executive stakeholders to deliver market-leading solutions.
- Work with Commercial and Financial teams to establish lifecycle costs and business plans for proposed products and product enhancements.
- Ensure alignment of technical product capabilities with business goals, commercial models, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and present compelling product strategies and updates to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and key clients.
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Use data-driven decision-making and customer feedback to optimise product offerings.
- Act as a thought leader within the company and across the wider industry, representing the organisation at events, conferences, and key customer engagements
