How You’ll Play Your Part

In this role, you will be accountable for establishing and leading a best-in-class Strategic Change function for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services UK. You will chair the Strategic Change Committee, own the overall strategic change budget, and ensure the function’s compliance with UK regulations and corporate policies while providing governance and direction for all transformation activity. You will ensure the change portfolio delivers measurable business value, supports regulatory and strategic priorities, and strengthens organisational resilience and capability through consistent methodology, strong leadership, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Main Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all transformation activity for MBFS, ensuring change initiatives align with UK business goals, Group strategy, and regulatory obligations.
  • Chair the relevant Committees and Forums related to business wide change, setting strategic priorities, overseeing portfolio governance, and ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes.
  • Own and manage the enterprise change portfolio, prioritising demand, allocating resources, and ensuring delivery of measurable business benefits and cultural outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the change strategy, roadmap, and governance framework, ensuring effective controls, audit readiness, and compliance with corporate policies and UK regulation.
  • Lead the PMO and portfolio teams to drive delivery excellence, continuous improvement, and a consistent methodology across Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Build organisational change capability, providing the frameworks, tools, and coaching needed to embed change effectively and sustainably.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, maintaining clear communication, alignment, and readiness for upcoming transformation.
  • Accountable for the overall Strategic Change budget, tracking value delivery and ensuring optimal use of resources across all portfolios.

About You

  • Degree in IT, Business, Strategy, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification in Change/Program Management (e.g., MSP, MoP, or equivalent).
  • Several years of proven experience leading enterprise-wide change within complex and regulated organisations.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maturing a change function or transformation office.
  • Proven ability to design and implement robust governance and processes for transformation.
  • Experience engaging at Board or Senior Leadership level, with the credibility to influence key decisions.
  • Experience working within Financial Services (ideally Automotive) and familiarity with regulatory obligations.
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experience working with product teams.
  • Strategic leadership and people management; able to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
  • Skilled at prioritisation, resource allocation, and benefits realisation.
  • Analytical and commercially astute, with the ability to translate complex change into tangible business value.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability, with a focus on outcomes and customer impact.
