Why Choose Bottomline?

Are you ready to transform the way businesses pay and get paid? Bottomline is a global leader in business payments and cash management, with over 35 years of experience and moving more than $16 trillion in payments annually. We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help drive impactful results for our customers. If you're dedicated to delighting customers and promoting growth and innovation - we want you on our team!

Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused business program leader to own the end-to-end business delivery of Bottomline's Financial Messaging UA SaaS Migration Program. This high-impact role will oversee the migration of over 200 financial services clients from legacy platforms (Message Manager, SAA, GTExchange) to the next-generation Universal Aggregator (UA) SaaS platform. The program spans multiple geographies and will be executed in phased cohorts through FY28.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central orchestrator of the UA SaaS Migration Program, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of a multi-year initiative to migrate over 200 clients from legacy financial messaging platforms to a unified, cloud-based SaaS solution.
  • Lead the alignment of migration efforts with Bottomline's broader go-to-market strategy and customer lifecycle objectives. Identify how platform adoption contributes to revenue growth, customer stickiness, and long-term commercial success.
  • Evangelize the benefits and promote the UA Platform both internally and externally to clients and partners (Banks, Swift)
  • Drive customer engagement strategies to demonstrate the operational and strategic value of the UA platform. Support Customer Success teams with adoption frameworks that increase usage and reduce time-to-value.
  • Monitor the development and deployment of key UA platform capabilities ensuring that technical milestones align with migration timelines. Collaborate closely with Product to track build dependencies, validate readiness criteria, and escalate risks or blockers proactively.
  • Leverage insights from early migration projects to refine and optimize the migration framework, incorporating automation, tooling, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and implement a scalable, repeatable migration methodology tailored to customer complexity and platform readiness, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience across all client cohorts.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to customer readiness, platform stability, resource availability, local legal/compliance requirements, and contractual obligations, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to execute the pricing and contract transition strategy, ensuring customers understand the value proposition of the UA SaaS platform and are successfully transitioned to the new pricing model.
  • Help mitigate churn risk by addressing customer concerns, aligning migration timing with business needs, and demonstrating tangible benefits of the new platform.
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Leadership teams and executive stakeholders on program status, business impact, customer progress, and strategic risks.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in SaaS, financial services, or enterprise software.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-year transformation or migration programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across product, engineering, operations, sales, and customer success.
  • Exceptional business acumen with a proven ability to translate program activity into commercial outcomes, including revenue enablement, retention, and customer value realization.
  • A strong focus on customer experience, with the ability to engage directly with clients, understand their technical and business needs, and guide them through complex migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Solid experience in the financial services industry, ideally in payments.
  • Understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, and financial messaging systems (e.g., SWIFT, ISO20022).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with global teams and customers, ideally across Europe and Asia.

We welcome talent at all career stages and are dedicated to understanding and supporting additional needs. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive and open environment for everyone.
