As the Head of Lettings and Management, you will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring the delivery of a professional, efficient, and compliant service to landlords and tenants. You will be responsible for driving growth, managing client relationships, leading and training a team comprising Property Inspectors, Property Managers, and Residential Lettings & Property Administrators.

As the Head of Lettings and Management, you will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring the delivery of a professional, efficient, and compliant service to landlords and tenants. You will be responsible for driving growth, managing client relationships, leading and training a team comprising Property Inspectors, Property Managers, and Residential Lettings & Property Administrators.
Lettings
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the lettings department across the entire office network.
- Responsible for staff training, producing standard documents.
- Review of process efficiencies and adaption of these when required.
- Ensure full compliance with lettings legislation and company policies and implementation of updates when required.
- Oversee marketing strategies for available properties to maximise occupancy rates.
- Manage tenancy agreements, renewals, and property inspections.
- Resolve any landlord or tenant issues professionally and efficiently.
- Act as the main point of contact for branch teams to discuss issues, strategy, and operational improvements.
- Relist vacant properties promptly and provide direction to relevant branches for marketing and viewings.
- Monitor lettings activity and performance across all branches to ensure consistency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee compliance checks and ensure adherence to all current lettings legislation.
- Provide regular updates to clients, ensuring effective communication and excellent customer service.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the residential management department.
- Oversee all aspects of AST management, ensuring properties are maintained and compliant.
- Provide effective line management to team members, offering training, support, guidance, and regular performance reviews.
- Manage key landlord and client relationships, ensuring proactive communication and high service standards.
- Oversee marketing strategies for available properties to maximise occupancy rates.
- Resolve any landlord or tenant issues professionally and efficiently.
- Work closely with the property management accounts team to oversee client money handling, insurance management and date protection policies.
- Manage maintenance issues, authorise works, review budgets and maintenance schedules.
- Manage supplier agreements and service level agreements.
- Ensure accurate record keeping of property and client information.
- Drive business growth by developing new landlord relationships and expanding the lettings and management portfolio.
- Provide effective line management to team members, offering training, support, guidance, and regular performance reviews.
- Prepare performance reports and provide insight into market trends.
- Ensure full compliance with lettings and residential management legislation and company policies.
- Maximise department profit, reporting department performance against KPI’s to the board.
- Proven experience within residential lettings, ideally at a senior or management level.
- Degree educated with an RICS qualification, or working towards an RICS accredited degree.
- Preference for experience in line management or supervising staff within a lettings environment.
- In-depth knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Target-driven with a proactive approach to business development.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- A professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
