Head of Project Management, EWC

As Head of Project Management, you will lead a team of Project Managers responsible for the planning and execution of all operational areas within the Esports World Cup and Esports Nations Cup, including stages, media center, and player lounges. You will be accountable for end-to-end project delivery across all areas, including budgeting and concept development through to on-site execution, ensuring alignment across all operational functions. Product and client goals and objectives must be translated into both a project and broadcast operational framework.

What you'll do:

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of area focused Project and Production Managers
• Support professional development of the team and foster a collaborative culture
• Allocate and delegate tasks to direct reports, keeping in mind both high-quality delivery, workload, and budget limitations
• Develop and implement workflows to streamline tournaments across operations, including creating processes on how to work with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure that the department delivers event construction and equipment according to requirements from internal and external stakeholders, in partnership with Head of Venue & Event Infrastructure and Head of Equipment & Logistics within the Event Operations department
• Translate product and client goals and objectives into both a project and broadcast operational framework
• Plan to ensure reasonable workloads for staff, including recruitment of contractors as needed
• Teach direct reports about production management principles to improve overall department knowledge
  
  

What you need:

Must have:

• Minimum of 7 years of (in)direct project management experience, including people management experience
• Minimum of 5 years of production management experience
• Experience planning, initiating, monitoring, and implementing events together with a team
• Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to carry out several tasks at the same time
• Proven ability to adapt to changing requirements and resolve issues in real-time
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in the English language, both spoken and written

• Experience, knowledge, and understanding of esports and gaming
• Knowledge of staging, scenic, lighting, audio, & video systems
