Role Summary
The Head of Production is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all production elements for Pride in Gloucestershire events. This role involves managing technical and logistical aspects to ensure events are delivered smoothly and align with the charity’s mission and objectives.
Duties
- - Lead the planning and delivery of all production elements for events, including staging, sound, lighting, and AV.
- - Collaborate with the Event Directorship to ensure production aligns with event goals and budgets.
- - Source and manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors.
- - Oversee the setup, operation, and teardown of technical equipment during events.
- - Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during events to minimise disruptions.
- - Manage production schedules, timelines, and resource allocation.
- - Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless integration of production with event activities.
Qualities Needed
- - Strong commitment to the organisation, with excellent judgement and integrity.
- - Proven experience in event production, technical management, or a related field.
- - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address challenges during events.
- - Proficiency in technical equipment and software related to event production.
- - Knowledge of health and safety regulations in event settings.
- - Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
General Requirements
- - Be available for approximately 10-12 hours per week.
- - Be able to use Microsoft Teams and email communication effectively.
- - Act independently of any other interests and declare any conflict of interests.
- - Not have any convictions for fraud or dishonesty, never to have been made bankrupt, or disqualified from acting as a company director or charity trustee.
