In Global Finance Operations our work is a fundamental part of creating content and getting it on air. We invoice and collect payments, process payroll, pay suppliers and employee expenses, pay in front of camera artists, writers and musicians and make secondary payments to producers and rights holders. The role…

The Head of People Payments leads the Payroll and Talent Pay departments within the Global Finance Operation. They manage, motivate and develop their leaders and colleagues to deliver strong results and meet performance targets while ensuring systems and processes are continuously improving to operate in the most efficient and effective manner.

Some Of Your Key Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • Assist the Director of Finance Operations in setting the strategy for people payments and lead the necessary change programmes to deliver this.
  • Lead ITV's People Payments department with accountability for delivery of Payroll and Talent Payments.
  • Responsible for the strategic direction, cost effectiveness, service quality and ongoing management of the People Payments department
  • Define and deliver the service catalogue for the department in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Oversee all aspects of transactional processing within the department.
  • Drive productivity and deliver defined performance services levels aligned with the KPIs and SLAs.
  • Report monthly performance against KPIs and SLAs (e.g. present at quarterly operational review meetings).
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure operational costs are in line with the departmental budget.
  • Engage the teams in ITV-wide initiatives including those linked to social purpose and diversity and inclusion.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)...

  • Extensive leadership experience, leading a team through change in a large and complex organisation
  • Previous experience leading a large process change project within a finance shared services environment
  • Formal payroll qualification

  • Proven experience in delivering and driving continuous improvement resulting in process simplification and compressed timelines.
  • Motivated by a desire to improve performance, services and outcomes.
  • Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with a credible and confident leadership style.
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to coach and support team members with a dedication to their development in role.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion is desirable.
  • European languages in addition to English are advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and green initiatives.
