We are at an exciting and important moment, taking forward plans for a landmark Campaign in recognition of our bicentenary in 2032.

As Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for securing philanthropic gifts ranging from £100,000 to £5 million leading a team of experienced major gift fundraisers as they work to increasingly ambitious financial and engagement targets.

You will manage personally a portfolio of some of the University’s most senior benefactors and prospective donors, ultimately securing gifts in the seven to eight figure range.

You will also be the strategic development partner for our outstanding Business School, which has recently moved to a new, state- of-the-art home at Waterside.

Your goals will be to realise the School’s global engagement potential and secure philanthropic commitment in priority domains.

To do this, you will need advanced skills in stakeholder relationship management, both internally and externally, and experience in closing transformational gifts, as well as bringing out the best in a team, inspiring a commitment to enhanced performance.

Salary of £57,696 to £64,919 with a Discretionary Range of up to £70,917 according to skills and experience for an outstanding candidate.

Benefits include USS pension, 42 days of annual leave, an on site nursery plus access to holiday camps for children aged 5 to 16.
