About the Role
The Head of IT will lead the UK & Ireland IT department, ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and projects across the organisation. This role involves significant engagement with Group stakeholders to align with global IT strategies and roadmap deployment.
Reporting to the UK Finance Director and with a dotted line to Group IT Director, the role will oversee a team of 27 IT specialists in managing all activities related to the delivery of IT services within Baxi UK & Ireland.
The role involves liaising with a wide range of Business and IT Stakeholders to deliver the full range of IT services used across the organisation, contributing to the development of IT strategy, aligning with Group on the roadmap and delivering the implementation of IT projects which underpin the growth ambitions of the UK & Ireland and BDR Thermea Group.

Experience Required :
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within a multinational organisation.
- Experience in a IT leadership role within the service or manufacturing sector, demonstrating career progression to an IT leadership role.
- Experience working effectively with a Group IT function, represent the needs of a local business and deploy relevant Group policies into their area of responsibility.
- Extensive experience in IT strategy development and implementation.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex IT projects.
- Experience leading changes in the business applications like ERP, CRM, FSM and PLM as well as IT infrastructure and Security.
Technical Skills:
- Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with ERP/Business Systems and database management.
- A good understanding of Project Management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile/Scrum is important, as is practical knowledge of ITIL Service Management at either Foundation or Intermediate level.
- Demonstrate experience in cybersecurity, including the practical implementation of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus. Evidence of embedding strong information security practices across an organisation.
- Additionally, the role demands strong experience in budgeting, supplier management, and strategic IT planning.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking, connecting business strategy with IT strategy and capability

- Demonstrable ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
