We are hiring!

Circet UK is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to join our growing team. This senior leadership role will oversee the people strategy for England and Scotland, supporting business objectives, driving HR initiatives, and fostering a culture of employee development and engagement.

This role will be based in Slough with requirement to travel to other working locations.

Key Responsibilities As Head of HR, you will:

  • Lead HR Strategy: Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with the company's business objectives across England and Scotland.
  • Manage Employee Lifecycle: Oversee performance management, reward and recognition, succession planning, and employee development.
  • HR Integration: Manage the integration of newly acquired businesses, aligning policies, systems, and practices with Circet Group standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead the development and delivery of employee engagement strategies to create a positive workplace culture and increase employee involvement.
  • People Development: Identify and drive training and development opportunities for managers and teams, working alongside operational leadership.
  • Provide HR Leadership: Offer expert advice and guidance on employee relations, compliance with employment law, and best practices in HR management.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring a smooth, collaborative, and effective service to the business.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare people analytics and regular HR reports to support strategic decision-making.

Knowledge & Skills requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years in a senior HR Business Partner / HR Manager role, ideally within the utilities, telecoms, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Qualifications: CIPD qualified, with a relevant degree in Human Resources.
  • Skills & Expertise: Strong generalist HR experience, including employee relations, compliance, employment law, performance management, and HR policy development.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team development capabilities, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrable commercial acumen, with the ability to align HR strategies with business needs.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel across England and Scotland as needed - full clean drivers licence and in date passport required.
