About the role: Head of Delivery

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Delivery to build and lead a high-performing delivery team responsible for executing complex, multi-phase software projects for our enterprise clients. This role is a strategic blend of leadership, process design, and hands-on contribution.

You will apply your deep expertise in software delivery lifecycles to enhance our project management processes, designing scalable methodologies that improve efficiency and reduce complexity. Operating within an agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Commercial, Partnerships, and Operations—to ensure timely and efficient delivery of our payment orchestration solutions. Your ability to innovate, influence, and drive continuous improvement will be pivotal to our success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop a delivery team that excels in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
    • Leverage individual team members’ strengths to enhance overall team performance and resilience.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Design and Implement Scalable Processes
    • Apply first-principles thinking to identify core challenges impacting the team’s project deliveries and promote continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, implementing lessons learned / best practices to improve delivery timelines and efficiency.
    • Develop and refine delivery methodologies that are scalable and efficient, reducing effort for both customers and internal teams.
    • Influence cross-functional teams to adopt improved processes that enhance overall project delivery.
  • Project and Program Management
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-phase software projects and programs.
    • Bring structure to projects using rigorous project management methodologies, instilling confidence among stakeholders.
    • Anticipate future project demands by considering the sales pipeline and plan resources accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
    • Interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Partnerships, and Operations teams to ensure that projects are executed seamlessly, in alignment with project goals and company objectives.
    • Proactively identify risks and work with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on Contribution
    • Engage directly in critical project tasks as needed, demonstrating commitment and expertise.
    • Lead by example, showing a willingness to tackle challenges alongside your team.
Experience

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-phase software projects involving customer integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and working within agile environments.
  • Extensive experience in leading project and program management within the payments, fintech, or related technology sectors is a plus.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of software delivery lifecycles and their integration with project management.
  • Proficient with project management tools and agile frameworks.
  • Knowledgeable about payment systems and payment orchestration technologies is a plus.

  • Expert in applying rigorous project management methodologies to bring structure and clarity.
  • Proactive in risk identification and mitigation, ensuring project control and stakeholder confidence.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to interface with, and influence stakeholders at all levels effectively.
  • Builds strong relationships through transparency, reliability, and clear communication.
  • Skilled in negotiation and managing stakeholder expectations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
