About this opportunity:
Ericsson is recruiting a mid-level (5-8 years of experience) lawyer with broad international corporate and finance experience. This central role partners with teams around the business, including senior leadership, on strategic corporate and finance transactions, corporate governance and advisory matters, assurance and risk management, ESG initiatives, M&A activity, regulatory, policy and corporate affairs engagement, executive employment and remuneration matters, and other ad hoc strategic projects with specialist teams, including IP and strategy. You will work closely with the Head of Corporate and Finance Legal Affairs, Head of Global Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and other senior business leaders to craft innovative legal and commercial solutions that enable Ericsson’s global strategy.
Top-tier law firm credentials and experience working in diverse geographies is required. Experience at publicly listed multinational companies would be a significant advantage. Agility to work across the spectrum of complex corporate, financial, operational and commercial legal projects across the group is essential. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment, demonstrates exceptional judgment, and communicates with clarity to diverse stakeholders. This position can be based in London/Reading or Stockholm; can be hybrid or remote, and some travel is expected.

In this role you will:
- Partner with team members across Ericsson’s global legal and compliance team, including specialist, commercial and market area teams and internal business stakeholders to develop and execute creative legal and business solutions that enable delivery of strategic projects and initiatives to drive Ericsson’s business strategy.
- Work on a collaborative and innovative team that values strategic thinking, creativity and professional growth in close partnership with senior stakeholders in the legal team and across the business to identify and drive forward key strategic projects and initiatives for the Ericsson legal team globally.
- Key areas of responsibility will include corporate governance matters (including entity management, work with the Executive Team and Board of Directors, internal governance policies and related matters), managing ongoing and periodic disclosure obligations (including MAR and other regulatory announcements, annual and quarterly reports, SEC filings, etc) together with colleagues in the investor relations, finance and communications functions, internal and external financing work (including customer and trade financing, credit facilities, export credit agency loan agreements, EMTN and other debt programs), cross-functional problem-solving and other strategic projects across the group.
- Approximately 5-8 years of broad corporate and finance legal experience from a top tier London/NY/international law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel working across a broad spectrum of corporate, operational, and commercial legal issues.
- Previous experience working at a publicly listed multinational company, operating in multiple jurisdictions around the world, ideally including emerging markets, would be a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently and to handle and manage complex and sensitive matters in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Drafting and disclosure in English, with a native level of fluency, is essential.
- Collaborative and a strong ability to build relationships and engage a broad range of stakeholders – both internal and external, across a range of functions and geographies.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills – ability to navigate ambiguity effectively, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and/or diverse perspectives and synthesize these into a clear and focused strategy.
- Intellectual agility and an ability to quickly get up to speed across new subject matter and business areas.
- Excellent organization, time management and project leadership skills.
