Group Financial Controller (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

We are one of the UK’s fastest growing dealer groups representing the Volvo, Polestar, Hyundai, Omoda & Jaecoo and Lotus brands across dealerships in London, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Essex. We are currently looking for an engaging and highly motivated Group Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
What You’ll Do
As Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations across the group, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic insight to support growth and decision-making. You’ll lead a high-performing finance team and work closely with the Financial Director and other senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage group-wide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls
- Drive process improvements and financial systems optimisation
- Provide strategic financial insight to support business planning and investment decisions
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors
- Mentor and develop finance teams across the group
- Treasury management and cashflow forecasting

- ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in a senior finance role, ideally within a multi-entity group
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems and financial transformation projects is a plus
