The role

You will be required to complete a range of repair and improvement work safely and efficiently as well as meeting customer needs and satisfaction. You will need to organise workload and prioritise jobs in order to meet deadlines.

You will need to communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers and customers. On occasion you will be required to perform other duties, directed by your manager, such as providing support to colleagues to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

The right fit

  • You must have experience working in at least two of the following trades (one of which must be Groundworks): Brickwork, Fencing, Flagging and Groundwork.
  • You are required to have an NVQ level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
  • You must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal in order to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
  • You need the ability to prioritise workloads with a high degree of initiative in order to meet deadlines and targets.
  • You must have experience working with members of the public regularly and working as part of a team.
  • You need to have full awareness of relevant health and safety requirements and considerations.
  • Experience of working with Housing Associations and managing repairs is desirable.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
