Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £87 - £108 per day

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

Role Overview

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one and small group support to students, and help create a positive classroom environment. This is your chance to gain invaluable experience in education while making a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across various subjects.
• Provide personalised support to students, helping them with learning activities and encouraging their progress.
• Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, adapting to students' individual learning styles.
• Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them succeed.
• Support students during break times and extracurricular activities to foster their social and emotional development.
• Help maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
  
  

Requirements

• A recent graduate with a degree in any subject.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an adaptable approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
