Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Global Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for power electronics and high-power electrical components.
Your role will focus on optimizing the supply chain within the Business Unit (BU), ensuring efficiency, synergies, and supplier excellence. You will work closely with R&D teams to support advanced sourcing for power components, ensuring the integration of technological innovations from the early development phase. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the integration of new businesses within the Grid Automation SCM BU, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with global supply chain strategies.

Your role will focus on optimizing the supply chain within the Business Unit (BU), ensuring efficiency, synergies, and supplier excellence. You will work closely with R&D teams to support advanced sourcing for power components, ensuring the integration of technological innovations from the early development phase. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the integration of new businesses within the Grid Automation SCM BU, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with global supply chain strategies.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Define and implement a comprehensive global strategy for all power electronics (IGBTs, SiC Power Modules, Power Capacitors, etc.) and high-power electrical components, including circuit breakers, switchgear, and cooling solutions.
- Establish a unified sourcing approach to optimize supplier selection and procurement efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product strategy alignment with technical, financial, and operational goals.
- Drive the execution of the global strategy across all Business Unit categories, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
- Implement standardized procurement processes to improve efficiency across product groups and regional hubs.
- Support the integration of new businesses within the Grid Automation SCM BU, ensuring a smooth transition into the global supply chain framework.
- Align sourcing and procurement strategies with Grid Automation requirements, leveraging synergies across existing supply chain operations.
- Facilitate collaboration between new business units, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive efficiency, innovation, and cost optimization.
- Foster internal synergies across multiple business units, ensuring strategic alignment and cross-functional collaboration to maximize efficiency.
- Develop and execute Hitachi Group-wide collaboration initiatives, leveraging best practices, shared resources, and expertise across different business entities.
- Extensive experience within a large industrial player, with a deep understanding of global supply chain operations.
- Strong expertise in High-Tech industries, including electronics, with a solid foundation in power electronics and electrical components.
- Proven experience in developing market analysis and strategic planning, ensuring optimal decision-making in procurement and supplier management.
- Proficiency in digital SCM tools (SAP Ariba, S4Hana, etc.) to drive automation and visibility.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in supplier negotiation and stakeholder collaboration.
- Analytical mindset, capable of developing data-driven strategies to resolve supply chain challenges
- Experience working across global markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.
