We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Clitheroe on a maternity cover basis, starting at the end of November 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage young minds, fostering a love for geography and supporting students in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum.
• Inspire curiosity and a passion for global issues, environmental awareness, and geographical knowledge.
• Plan, assess, and differentiate lessons to cater to the varying abilities of students.
• Contribute to the wider school community and support extra-curricular activities where applicable.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment, ensuring all students can achieve their potential.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong understanding of the geography curriculum.
• Experience teaching geography at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student progress and achievement.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a flexible and proactive approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
