As a General Operative working on the Lower Thames Crossing, your role is to provide hands-on support to site operations ensuring the successful delivery of daily tasks in line with health, safety, and quality standards. You will be an integral part of the team, contributing to one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK, responsible for moving the project forward with efficiency and precision.

What you'll be doing
- Assist in site setup and maintenance, including fencing, signage, and
- Carry out general labouring duties, including material movement, cleaning, and tidying of the site to maintain a safe work environment.
- Safely operate and maintain basic tools and machinery relevant to the role.
- Report damaged equipment promptly and ensure it is used in accordance with training and guidelines.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Participate in daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety checks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with site teams.
- Provide support as required to tradespeople, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Previous experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision and as part of a team.
- Relevant equipment operation certification (e.g., telehandler, forklift, dumper).
- First Aid training.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and work demands.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour in varying weather conditions.
