General Manager – Director Of The Fridays Experience

Lead the Show. Inspire the Cast. Create the Energy.

You already know who we are.

The red and white stripes. The neon glow. The walls packed with nostalgia and the unmistakable buzz of celebration.

Since 1965, TGI Fridays has brought people together through bold flavour, legendary drinks, and high-energy hospitality. From the invention of the Long Island Iced Tea to making the humble potato skin a global favourite, we’ve never followed trends — we’ve created them.

This isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a revival. A place where freedom, flair, and joy take centre stage — and we’re searching for our next leading act.

The Role: Your Stage, Your Script

As General Manager, you are more than a manager. You are a showrunner, culture driver, and visionary. Every shift is a performance. Every team member is part of your ensemble. Every guest is your audience.

You will lead the entire operation from front of house to kitchen, from day to night. And your mission is simple:

Deliver Unforgettable Experiences, Drive Success, And Lead With Excellence.

Your Mission

  • Lead the Cast: Inspire, develop, and energise your team through the Fridays values — Pride, Passion, Personality, and Protection
  • Own the Experience: Oversee every element of the guest journey — from floor energy to kitchen execution
  • Deliver Standing Ovations: Build guest loyalty and create a culture where every visit feels like a Friday
  • Drive Business Success: Grow sales, control costs, and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Champion People Development: Mentor, nurture, and promote a culture of recognition and growth
  • Run It Like It’s Yours: Take full ownership of your restaurant’s success — because, in spirit, it is

About You

  • You bring proven leadership experience in a high-paced hospitality environment
  • You’re passionate about creating magical guest experiences
  • You combine commercial acumen with hands-on operational expertise
  • You think strategically, lead confidently, and act with flair
  • You’re committed to building a high-performance team and inclusive culture
  • You’re available to work evenings and weekends — when the lights are on and the crowd is roaring
  • Most of all, you lead with energy, optimism, and a belief that work should be as joyful as it is purposeful

Your Backstage Perks

  • Guaranteed 48-hour working contract
  • Annual performance-based incentive programme
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Optional Private Medical Insurance
  • Full access to our Aspire Leadership Development Pathway and national apprenticeships
  • Invitations to exclusive Leadership Conferences
  • 50% discount on food for you and up to five guests
  • Recognition and reward programmes
  • Long service awards and team celebration culture
  • Wagestream – access your earnings in real time
  • Membership with Hospitality Action for mental health and wellbeing support

Who We Are

At Fridays, we celebrate every stripe — whoever you are and whatever makes you, you.

Diversity and inclusion are not simply ideals — they are the foundation of who we are. Through our “Pridays” forum and inclusive programmes, we support LGBTQ+ rights, gender equity, accessibility, and individuality.

We don’t ask you to fit in.

We invite you to belong.

“No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.” – P.T. Barnum

Ready to Lead the Fridays Experience?

If you're over school-leaving age and ready to join a brand where craft meets celebration, teamwork becomes theatre, and leadership is about heart as much as strategy — this is your cue.
