For over 20 years, our Aberdeen-based turbo services team has delivered exceptional repair, overhaul, and field support for industrial, marine, and power gas turbines.

We’re now seeking a forward-thinking General Manager to lead our operations, drive performance, and further embed our values of Seize opportunities, Own it, Team up, Create value across everything we do.

As the senior leader at Sulzer GT Aero, you’ll inspire and steer our turbine services business, blending entrepreneurial spirit with global best practices. You will hold full P&L responsibility for the legal entity, along with complete control of workshop operations, field services, ESH, quality, and order execution.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • P&L Ownership & Growth: Lead the Aberdeen entity, shape financial strategy, and seize opportunities for market expansion.
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee workshop repairs, overhauls, and field service, ensuring rapid turnaround and quality excellence.
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold ISO standards, lead audits, and champion a safety-first culture.
  • Customer Engagement: Deepen client relationships, act decisively on escalations, and deliver tailored turbine solutions worldwide.
  • Strategic & People Leadership: Develop strategic initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and nurture talent to build a high-performing team.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership in industrial services or repair and overhaul environments.
  • Financially savvy, with strong P&L accountability and commercial insight.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO frameworks and operational compliance.
  • Client-centric with a proven track record in delivering excellence.
  • Someone who owns it, empowers teams, and fosters innovation and continuous improvement.
