Job Introduction

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Working 5 days out of 7 with weekends every 3rd weekend
  • 06:30 - 14:30 early shift
  • 11:15 - 19:45 late shift
  • You may be required to work hours outside of these dependent upon business requirements
  • £12.21 Per Hour

About The Role

As a General Assistant at Sodexo in HM Naval Base Portsmouth, PO1 4QT, We areseeking a proactive and versatile candidate to join our dynamicteam. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals whothrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking on new challenges.

You willcollaborate closely with teams in hospitality, catering andcleaning, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations. Byleveraging your diverse skillset, you will play a key role in enhancing ouroperational flexibility, optimizing processes, and driving continuousimprovement across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in different departments including, hospitality, catering and cleaning, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
  • Dining Area Setup: Prepare dining areas, functions, and meeting spaces before service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Food Service & Replenishment: Serve meals and replenish food stations as needed, ensuring everything is available and properly maintained throughout service
  • Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by regularly sanitising workstations, equipment, and dining areas in line with health and safety standards.
  • Event Support: Assist with special events and functions, ensuring all aspects of service run smoothly and efficiently

What We’re Looking For

  • The ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them in a variety of settings.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple departments.
  • No previous experience required
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication
  • Due to security clearances you must have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
