Are you a dedicated Ganger looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? At Tarmac, we are on the lookout for a Ganger to join our team in Widnes.

About The Role

Reporting into the Service Manager, the successful Ganger will be responsible for playing a part in the successful delivery of kerbing, paving, drainage and patching works within the region by Tarmac along with our sub-contractors. You will also provide guidance on highways management matters to your fellow colleagues at Tarmac.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you as the successful Ganger will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)

• Supporting with the planning, programming and delivery of our programme of works
• Working with crews to undertake works orders in a planned fashion and to the highest quality
• Have a keen eye for detail and report Safety Observations on our Tarmac reporting system
• Carrying out pre-start checks on each machine you are operating
• Working to gang’s targets and minimising costs to maximise profitability
• Ensuring all plant is safely and securely stored in the designated areas at the end of your shift
• Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are being adhered to across all works alongside collaborating, promoting and developing Health, Safety and wellbeing innovations
  
  

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Ganger who is:

• Experienced in construction and highways maintenance works
• A valid UK full manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points
• In possession of a NRSWA card
• If you have an HGV/LGV Licence, this would be beneficial
  
  

Furthermore, if you have gritting driver experience, this would also be advantageous.
