We are developing the Fundraiser/Income Generation (FIG) Lead Trustee role as part of our strategy to diversify income streams and ensure a sound financial footing so that we meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families.

What are we looking for?

Our Fundraiser/Income Generation Lead Trustee will enthusiastically play a key part in shaping our developing strategies in this area. You will work alongside our operational team and our Board to lead the development, implementation and growth of our FIG strategy.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a sound understanding and experience of charity fundraising
  • brings overall leadership and drive to our fundraising/income generation
  • can balance FIG activities against our objects and current strategic priorities
  • has a broad understanding of commissioning and contract management
  • can support the Head of Service in their role of producing funding bids and associated documents
  • has strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

What will you be doing?

In addition to their wider responsibilities as a Trustee, the FIG Lead Trustee will

  • provide the Board with strategic guidance for, and oversight of, FIG strategy in line with our overall objectives
  • share knowledge and expertise to optimise our FIG
  • support and advise on the development of our FIG capability, including consolidating current resources and diversifying into new areas
  • report to the Board on the success and challenges of the FIG strategy
  • ensure that our FIG activities are fully compliant including legally and ethically
  • liaise where appropriate with colleagues on areas such as marketing, publicity and communications.
