Our website uses big data, analytics, and machine learning to aggregate the best products and prices from a range of partners. We save our customers time and money by displaying the best deals and expert product guides in one convenient place.


Our Technology


The technology that drives our business is composed of multiple microservices. These include data ingestion pipelines and APIs written in C#, a frontend website using Node.js + Next.js (React), and large machine learning models that help determine attributes like product type and colour from imagery. We also have various services for alerting users to the best deals and much more.


Responsibilities


  • Assist our technical lead with all aspects of our back-end systems. We use AWS and Kubernetes with MongoDB. This role offers significant learning opportunities with cutting-edge technology.
  • A key part of this role will be helping to maintain our data feed service. This includes developing new ways to ingest data, maintaining the service, and ensuring optimal data ingestion.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation (project briefs, technical specifications, etc.) as needed.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and developments.
  • Update work schedules and perform troubleshooting as required.
  • Be transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
  • Maintain an approach of continuous improvement, optimising for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
