Bank Support Worker

Typical shift as a bank Support Worker
- You’ll assist customers with mental health that may also alcohol/substance misuse, ASD or a mild learning disability
- There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence.
- One shift you might be working a sleep-in, making sure you’re available for overnight support, the next you might be working the day shift and supporting a customer to a group or activity.
- You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services.
- You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting.

You bring
- Enjoyment working with a range of customers.
- Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.
- Experience as a Support Worker. It is important that you have worked in this type of environment before.
- A positive, can do and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to our customers lives.
- Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively.
- If you are a real people person and are confident working in different services, locations, and teams, then this is the job for you.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.

You’ll join our wider services in the East region, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it! Currently we have hours available in our Ipswich service in Suffolk with our manager Kathy. Our team are all super passionate about what we do! We’re a supportive bunch, and between us have a wealth of experience to share with you.

- We’re looking for you to work across East region which include our services in Ipswich
- Able to use technology for recording support to customers, doing mandatory learning and keeping in touch with colleagues.
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
