Are you detail-driven with a passion for accuracy and process? Fletchers Solicitors is looking for a dedicated Fixed Recoverable Costs (FRC) Team Member to support our dynamic Costs Recovery team. In this essential role, you’ll prepare and process Fixed Recoverable Costs schedules and Final Statute Bills (FSB), ensuring precise records and effective communication with clients, insurers, and third parties.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare schedules of Fixed Recoverable Costs (FRC) in accordance with current legislation and practice.
- Draft Final Statute Bills (FSB) and ensure accuracy in cost calculations and presentation.
- Review and check FSBs and FRC schedules prepared by others to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Locate and compile disbursement vouchers to support claimed costs.
- Send prepared cost schedules and FSBs to the paying party and maintain clear communication.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all prepared FSBs and FRC schedules.
- Proactively chase responses from paying parties regarding submitted schedules.
- Address preliminary issues or queries raised by third parties concerning submitted costs (training provided).
- Monitor cost recovery progress and provide regular updates to the team supervisor/manager.
- Refer complex or unresolved cases to the supervisor for further review or escalation.
- Assist in the drafting of short-form FRC bills of costs as required (training provided).
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Proclaim case management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep accurate and organised records.
- Effective communicator, both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good time management and prioritisation skills.
