About The Role
We are seeking a high-calibre Interim Group Financial Accountant to join a Group Finance team at a pivotal moment. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be a key figure in the Group's financial reporting and consolidation process. You'll work closely with a fellow Group Financial Accountant to deliver robust, timely, and accurate reporting across all group entities during this transformational period. Although interim, this position is replacing a permanent team member and will run for at least 12 months, with the potential to extend up to 24 months as the Group executes its divestment and refocus strategy.

About The Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the multi-currency consolidation of group accounts - monthly, half-year, full-year, forecasts, and budgets.
- Prepare the financial sections of annual/interim reports and ensure tax disclosures are complete and compliant.
- Work directly with external auditors, ensuring seamless audit processes.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS, manage updates to Group accounting policies, and provide technical accounting support.
- Take charge of disposal accounting for businesses exiting the Group.
- Own and manage the Group's Cognos reporting system, including updates and documentation.
- Perform Group-level accounting for goodwill impairments, IFRS16 leases, share-based payments, and expected credit loss modelling.
ACA qualified Accountant
Required Skills:
- Proven expertise in technical accounting
- Solid experience in multi-currency group consolidations.
- Experience with IFRS and tax accounting preferred.
- Familiarity with consolidation systems
- A proactive, hands-on mindset and a collaborative team spirit
- Experience with disposals would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Cognos desirable but not essential
