As the Finance Assistant, you’ll be supporting the wider finance team. The role is varied and fast-paced, in a highly pressurised environment with adherence to strict deadlines, primarily focused on core accounting tasks such as invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations. While experience in client invoicing and worker payments is desirable, it is not essential. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in finance who is looking to further their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting accounts receivable and payable processes, including recording and allocating payments
  • Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations and finance reporting tasks such as journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Contributing to the implementation of a cashflow report to support daily business decision-making
  • Supporting budget preparation and responding to audit requests
  • Updating and maintaining financial records and Excel spreadsheets
  • Ensuring all work adheres to Workwell Global processes and relevant financial legislation
  • Managing high-volume invoicing and ensuring all tasks are completed within tight deadlines
  • Navigating internal CRM systems and portals (training provided)

We’d Love To Hear From Someone That

  • Has 2-3 years of experience in a similar finance or accounts role
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Is highly organised, diligent, and meticulous in their approach to work
  • Is confident using Excel and has a working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Is adaptable, IT-savvy, and eager to learn new systems and processes
  • Has excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Works well under pressure and thrives in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrates patience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in financial data
  • Understands end-to-end payment and receipt processes
  • Can quickly grasp and follow internal procedures and legislative changes
