Field Service Engineer –

Hands-On Work, Team Environment, Full Training Included

Location - Leicester / Nottingham (UK wide coverage - regular nights away)

Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 basic (DOE) + Overtime

You don’t need to be an expert in fire systems to join UK Dry Risers — but you do need to be ready to learn, ready to travel, and ready to work as part of a tight-knit team.

Here at UK Dry Risers, we test, maintain and service fire safety systems in buildings all across the UK. You’ll be part of a two-person crew, heading out to different sites every week — inspecting and repairing dry riser systems in places like housing blocks, schools, hospitals, industrial premises, care homes and more.

It’s hands-on, practical work with real responsibility — and we’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll be supported from day one with full training and ongoing development. All you need is a basic mechanical background, good work ethic, and a willingness to jump in and learn.

What we’re looking for:

• General experience of Mechanical Engineering
• Experience using hand and power tools
• A full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight (we’ll cover your expenses)
• Someone who enjoys working in a pair, not flying solo
• Able to complete job sheets and reports clearly and on time
• Positive attitude, practical brain, team mindset
