Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset BA11 4LA

Salary: £13.25 per hour

Hours: Saturday: 4 hours | Sunday: 4 hours (Potential for additional hours during school holidays or growth in service)

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

Driving: Full UK Driving Licence required

Age Requirement: Over 18’s only due to lone workingAs part of our continued growth, we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Farm Hand to join our close-knit team at Wessex Lodge School. About the RoleYou will oversee the care of our farm animals over weekends and some school holidays, ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will make a real difference to both the animals and the school community.You will:

• Care for and monitor the health of animals, liaising with staff and vets when needed.
• Undertake practical tasks such as feeding, fencing, driving farm vehicles, and operating machinery.
• Ensure farm activities comply with regulations, health and safety standards, and school policies.
• Maintain records and provide handovers to weekday staff.
• Contribute to the ethos of the school, supporting students’ engagement with the farm and outdoor learning.

About UsWessex Lodge School currently comprises of three sites: Wessex Lodge Primary School located in Kilmington, Wessex Lodge Secondary School located in Frome, and Newmead Farm, located in Maiden Bradley.
