Family Therapist / CAMHS Therapist - Inpatient Services
An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Family or CAMHS Therapist to join a specialist private inpatient service in Chelmsford, working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide evidence-based, individual therapy to young people receiving inpatient care.

- Chelmsford, Essex
- £32,800 - £42,400 DOE
- 30 hours per week Permanent Part-Time
An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Family or CAMHS Therapist to join a specialist private inpatient service in Chelmsford, working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide evidence-based, individual therapy to young people receiving inpatient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured therapy sessions to young people admitted to the CAMHS inpatient unit
- Support the emotional and psychological needs of patients through therapeutic interventions
- Work collaboratively with families and the wider clinical team to support recovery
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
- Contribute to team discussions, care planning and clinical reviews
- A recognised postgraduate qualification in therapy (Systemic, Integrative, or similar)
- Accreditation with a recognised professional body (e.g. UKCP, BACP, HCPC) or working towards it
- Experience working within CAMHS inpatient settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A compassionate, professional, and adaptable approach to clinical care
- Be part of a highly experienced, recovery-focused CAMHS team
- Work in a calm, therapeutic environment with access to multiple treatment pathways
- Ongoing professional development opportunities
