Job Overview
An exciting opportunity to be trained in and to practice the innovative Family Group Conferencing (FGC) model of mental health service provision. This varied role includes clinical practice and promoting the use of FGC as widely as possible.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated practitioner who can make a difference to service users and their families. The Family Group Conferencing team needs someone who will have the ability to respond positively and creatively to the needs of our service users and their networks. To empower them to develop their own plans of support moving forward that can be resourced and supported by the professional network where needed.
The successful candidate will work in the FGC team based at the C&E Centre, Chelmsford but will provide a service across Essex locality. Being a part of this award-winning service and the development of providing high quality Family Group Conferences to service users experiencing a wide range of mental health problems, promoting recovery and independence.
You will support the delivery of strength and asset-based approaches promoting recovery and social inclusion with individuals and families.
You must be an excellent communicator, dynamic and well versed and assertive in multi-disciplinary working and developing and maintaining relationships with key partners. The applicant must have good understanding of the importance of whole family interventions in adult mental health care provision and understand how this can be supported by the mental health services.

Please note - staff who are formally at risk within the organisation will be given priority in securing alternative employment.
