Job Overview

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has exciting opportunities to join our Facilities Team as Facilities Operatives working as a Ward Caterer based at the Royal Gwent Hospital.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. 

There Are Two Part-time Posts Available

Post 1 - 16 hours per week, 07:30 - 11:30 worked over 4 shifts per week

Post 2 - 12 hours per week, 17:00 - 20:00 worked over 4 shifts per week

Main duties of the job

The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Knowledge & Training

Essential criteria

  • Good basic education
  • Willingness to undertake accredited & mandatory training relevant to the role
  • Level 2 Food Safety or requirement to attain
  • NVQ level 1/2 in Facilities Services and/or Customer Services

Desirable criteria

  • Basic IT skills
  • Spoken or written Welsh language

Experience

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of undertaking a facilities role.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
