EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Exmouth

Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: £83.33 per day

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Exmouth, supporting children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone passionate about working with young learners to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group support to children in EYFS, fostering early learning and development.
  • Assist with daily classroom activities, supporting play-based and structured learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Encourage positive social interactions, communication, and emotional well-being.
  • Support children with behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Ideally Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Experience working in EYFS or KS1 in a nursery or school setting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, staff, and parents.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to working with young children.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
