                            Externals Finisher (Slabs, Kerbs & Edgings) - with Dumper Ticket
We’re looking for a skilled Externals Finisher to join our groundworks team, specialising in slabs, kerbs, edgings, and other external finishing works. If you take pride in producing high-quality finishes and have experience operating dumpers, we want to hear from you!

                    We’re looking for a skilled Externals Finisher to join our groundworks team, specialising in slabs, kerbs, edgings, and other external finishing works. If you take pride in producing high-quality finishes and have experience operating dumpers, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of external finishing, including laying slabs, kerbs, edgings, and paving to line and level.
- Prepare sub-bases, check levels, and ensure areas are properly compacted and ready for installation.
- Operate dumpers safely and efficiently to move materials around site.
- Complete concrete works, backfilling, and minor reinstatement as required.
- Work from site drawings and levels to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Carry out daily plant checks, maintain equipment, and report any defects to site management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
- Work closely with supervisors and other operatives to meet deadlines and support project delivery.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Proven experience in external finishing (slabs, kerbs, edgings, paving).
- Valid CPCS/NPORS Dumper ticket (NPORS must be CSCS affiliated with hologram).
- Ability to read levels and site drawings.
- Strong awareness of site health and safety.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with other plant such as rollers or 360 excavators.
- 5+ years’ experience in groundworks or civil engineering.
- Experience working on housing developments, highways, or commercial sites.
- Punctual, professional, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Able to collaborate effectively with other site teams and trades.
- Supports project schedules and contributes to a positive site culture.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Please note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram. We no longer accept traditional NPORS cards.
