Export & Cross Trades Assistant Manager

Seafast Logistics is a leading provider of international freight forwarding and logistics solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export & Cross Trades Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team.

Role:

As the Export & Cross Trades Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting our operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of exceptional service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of operational staff, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and timely execution of export shipments.
• Monitor and analyse team and customer KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure the accuracy of all documentation, including tracking sheets, work sheets, and invoices.
• Monitor aged debt and escalate any issues to the accounts team.
• Lead and participate in customer review meetings.
• Respond to and delegate out-of-hours issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including IMDG and ADR.
• Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all staff.
• Assist with staff development and training, including apprenticeship programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  
  

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of IMDG and ADR regulations is advantageous.
