We are looking for a Year 1 teacher in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire starting immediately! This is an opportunity to work within a ‘Good’ primary school in Herts, Southeast England. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective classes to Year 1 students based on the National Curriculum.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to Year 1 students to encourage growth and development.
- Create a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Two-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
- Friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms
- As well as academic excellence, this school aspires to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through its supportive pastoral environment.
- Easy commute to and within Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire via public transport.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments and schools.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
