You will lead the European team accountable for crafting, developing and delivering BI reports and Insights to both the European leadership and our European subsidiaries.
The primary objective is to clearly identify D2C opportunities from the data and confidently communicate these to stakeholders. Strong planning and thought leadership are essential to ensure the BI & insights demonstrably deliver business value within our D2C channels (Samung.com & ShopApp). You will also managing the tagging solutions and ensure cookies are maintained within GDPR regulations.

Your team will be responsible for delivering excellence in BI reporting and insights to improve sales and consumer experience in Samsung.com and Shop App. You will need to lead and inspire your team plus outsourced partners to realise that vision.

The Head of D2C Analytics and Insights will assess European trading performance and individual markets to find opportunities for improvement. This analysis will inform the development of standard methodology and generate insights. This will be accomplished by extracting data from eCommerce systems and manipulating it the data to enable comparison and benchmarking.

Primary Responsibilities-
- Lead and encourage both your team & partner suppliers to deliver BI and Insights to agreed timeframes
- Provide support for business, strategic, and budget planning
- Consistently work with business leaders to ensure D2C analytics are supporting business planning, sales and decisions
- Articulate the relationship between different data points and extract the meaningful D2C business actions.
- Innovate reporting to consistently improve report relevance and usefulness to the business
- Produce actionable business insights to enable to business to target marketing more effectively
- Bring value through data utilization
- Provide thought leadership in D2C BI & insights
- Develop clear plans to demonstrate all data sources and tasks are on track to deliver against agreed timelines.
- Establishing data and analytics governance
- Ensuring the Cookie and tagging environment remains compliant to policies
Your team will be responsible for delivering excellence in BI reporting and insights to improve sales and consumer experience in Samsung.com and Shop App. You will need to lead and inspire your team plus outsourced partners to realise that vision.
- Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
- Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
- Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.
- Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
- Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
- To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Strong leadership in BI & Insights to develop reporting that clearly identifies D2C opportunities
- Experienced with developing BI & insights reporting in a Consumer electronics D2C environment
- Excellent planning and organizing skills, the ability to develop plans and implement them while keeping collaborators informed.
- Outstanding business insight and interpersonal skills; capable of collaborating across different business functions at a senior level to drive impactful change and achieve shared objectives.
- Stakeholder management in a complex European organisation
