About The Role

At Arco, the UK’s leading integrated health and safety experts, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Ethics & Sustainability Apprentice to join our Technical Compliance team.
In this exciting role, you’ll work closely with our Ethics and Sustainability Compliance Officer and collaborate with stakeholders across the business. You’ll play a key part in identifying sustainability challenges, developing actionable strategies, and implementing ethical business practices. From tracking progress and analysing data to communicating initiatives and staying ahead of industry trends, you’ll be at the forefront of our journey towards environmental and social excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Identifying sustainability issues, developing action plans and implementing sustainable business practices.
- Communicating sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Tracking the progress of sustainability initiatives, analysing data and reporting on the company’s sustainability performance
- Encouraging ethical behaviours within the company, including fair labour practices, environmental protection and responsible sourcing
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and development in corporate responsibility and sustainability, including legislation and best practices
- A competitive starting of salary of £20, 586.30 plus bonus
- On completion a Level 4 qualification as a Quality Practitioner
- 32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays which rises with service, plus the option to purchase up to 5 more days each calendar year

The ideal Ethics & Sustainability Apprentice will be/have
- Grade 4 or above in Maths and English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for sustainability and ethical business practices
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
