Environmental Monitoring Technician, South East, £24,000 to £28,000

SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations and to comply with environmental regulations. Our expert field teams provide national coverage and tailored services including site investigation, sampling and analysis, monitoring, interpretation and consultancy. Our qualified and highly talented field consultants provide environmental analysis, environmental monitoring and consultancy services to assist clients in complying with legislation.
We’re looking for a monitoring technician to join an enthusiastic team, based in Romford, delivering Environmental and Water Hygiene Services to a wide range of clients across the southeast. This is a site based role, and tasks will include, but not limited to:

We’re looking for a monitoring technician to join an enthusiastic team, based in Romford, delivering Environmental and Water Hygiene Services to a wide range of clients across the southeast. This is a site based role, and tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Trade Effluent Sampling
- Water Sampling and Water Compliance Monitoring
- Daily Travel to Client Sites
- Report Writing and Customer Liason
- must be able to follow written procedures and instructions
- Be able to communicate verbally and in writing with the client when faults have been identified
- Produced detailed site observations to be used to prepare technical reports based on current guidelines, legislation and best practice.
- The candidate should be flexible in their working and have a positive attitude.
- Candidates must be able work in safe manner avoiding hazards to themselves, colleagues and clients.
